THE GREAT GATSBY

I was called to work at the set of the movie The Great Gatsby (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1343092/) as a concept illustrator.
Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin had a clear vision of how the movie should look. My main role was to help out in the set dressing department and I would be working together with a team in the designing of the furniture, props, fabrics, objects, etc that would appear on the set of the movie.
On some occasions it was very clear what I was supposed to illustrate in order to present the idea to the director but on others I had the privilege to come out with my own proposals so I really enjoyed this project.

These are designs for props that would appear on Gatsby’s party sequence.
